Why Artificial Rain is used?
It is very rare to get rain in Dubai. Dubai has to get imported from other countries. There is a lot of water shortage in Dubai. It is just like the condition of fuel in India or other countries. And water is even more essential than fuel. That's why Dubai has to take the help of artificial rain. The second reason is that the people there should not feel insecure about water and the underground water level should be maintained.

Is it possible to make Artifical Rain?
Yes, It is possible to cause artificial rain by throwing electrified sand or silver iodide from an airplane and thus, coagulating the mist hanging in the air. AgI helps in artificial rain because the clouds consist of charged particles of water dispersed in the air.

Need for Artificial Rain.
Rainfall in Dubai is infrequent and does not last for a long period. It mostly rains during the winter period between November and March in the form of short downpours and an occasional thunderstorm. On average, rain falls only 25 days a year. The UAE performs around 1,000 hours of cloud seeding every year. While the process can be effective in increasing rain, it can also be difficult to determine whether one rain results from cloud seeding.
What is Artificial Rain?
Artificial rain, or cloud seeding, is the process of introducing substances into clouds to stimulate the formation and growth of raindrops. This technique aims to enhance precipitation in areas where rainfall is inadequate or to disperse fog or smog. The first attempt to modify natural clouds in the field through "cloud seeding" began during a flight that began in upstate New York on 13 November 1946.
